CARCI

About the Institute

The specialist institute for
crypto-asset regulation

CARCI (Crypto Asset Regulation & Compliance Institute) delivers specialist examination-assessed certification, regulatory intelligence, and institutional training for professionals operating in regulated digital asset markets.

MiCAR is in force. The GENIUS Act has passed. AMLA begins direct supervision of designated CASPs in July 2027. The regulatory moment has arrived, and the professionals navigating it need training built to the same standard as the regulation itself.

Our purpose

Why CARCI exists

Crypto-asset regulation arrived at institutional scale without the professional training infrastructure to support it. MiCAR is the most comprehensive crypto-asset regulatory framework enacted anywhere in the world. The GENIUS Act is the first federal US stablecoin legislation. AMLA begins direct supervision of CASPs in 2027. The FCA FSMA regime comes into full effect that same year.

These are not abstract policy developments. They are operational obligations for thousands of compliance officers, legal teams, and digital asset businesses who need the expertise to apply them correctly. That expertise cannot be built through awareness-level content, summarised briefings, or adapted financial services training.

CARCI exists to close that gap. We design specialist, examination-assessed programmes built directly from primary regulatory sources, translated into the structured, practitioner-applicable training that the regulatory moment demands.

““
The future of digital assets will not be defined by innovation alone, but by how responsibly that innovation is governed. Empowered compliance teams are not a constraint on growth, they are what make sustainable growth possible. CARCI exists to strengthen regulatory literacy across the industry and to support professionals who carry that responsibility.

What makes CARCI different

Built exclusively for crypto-asset regulation, not adapted from general AML curricula
Written from primary sources: MiCAR text, ESMA RTS, EBA guidelines, FATF recommendations
Examination-assessed: the CARCI designation is earned, not awarded on completion
Updated as regulation changes: the GENIUS Act programme was published within weeks of passage
Built by practitioners implementing the regulation, not academics writing about it

Our approach

How CARCI teaches

01

Primary sources first

Every CARCI programme begins with the legislative text: the statute, the technical standards, the regulatory guidance. Not summaries. Not interpretations. The actual regulation that compliance professionals must apply.

02

Structured progression

Modules build sequentially: foundational concepts before operational application, general obligations before specific service types, legal framework before governance and compliance programme design.

03

Examination-assessed

Every CARCI programme includes per-module assessments and a rigorous final examination. The CARCI specialist designation is awarded to candidates who demonstrate that they can apply the regulation, not just recall its provisions.
